I donated $5 to somebody’s campaign in 2016. Ever since, an ever-growing number of annoying political text messages have sprouted like weeds in what had been an easy, private way to communicate with friends and family.
I delete them and report them all as junk. They just keep coming.
Take a hint, comms staffers. Political texting — let’s call it poxting — is invasive. As a social strategy, it’s cringe.
Any political campaign that texts me is not going to get my vote.
